Distressed Happy Birthday Card

This is a recent card we did for one of my stamping classes. I used Stampin' Up's distressing kit. The kit comes with four different distressing inks and is fabulous! It also comes with other assorted tools like sanding blocks. I also used the new framelit dies and vintage wallpaper embossing folder. Enjoy!

Creative Elements birthday card

Finally arrived! My new goodies from the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog from Stampin' Up. I got my order on Friday but had kids' ball tournaments to attend, so I didn't get to my new stuff until today. I am sooo excited to get new stuff and get to play. This card is made with my new favorite stamp set, Creative Elements (122645 wood and 122647 clear). It is so awesome! I can't wait to use it on scrapbook pages. Another new favorite product of mine is the new Designer Frames Textured Embossing Folder Set (123130). (Comes with 2 frames to use on cards or can be used to journal on scrapbook page.) I also used our newest punch, the Lace Ribbon Border Punch (122362). Pool Party and Calypso Coral are the colors I stamped with and used the new Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon. Added some of our new tiny silver brads and pearls and it is finished. The sentiment comes from the new stamp set Petite Pairs 122495 wood and 122497 clear. I did case this card from fellow demo Cherie Franklin. Enjoy!

Notably Ornate and Punch Potpourri

Elegant, classic and vintage....those are the words I use to describe the new stamp set Notably Ornate. I can't wait to use this stamp set to journal on my scrapbook pages. It includes a large box to journal in and a smaller oval-shaped design stamp to write the date in on scrapbook pages, along with the bird and Just Because saying. It is available in clear mount 120561 and wood mount 117098. I also used the Punch Potpourri Level One Hostess Stamp set to stamp the flowers which coordinate with the Boho Blossoms Punch. I have to say SU did a great job of coming up with some fantastic hostess sets in this new catalog. I used the modern label punch, Big Shot Top Note Die Cut and Movers and Shapers Die. Also used Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard, Soft Suede ink and the new Basic Pearls and Rhinestones. Thanks for looking!

Vintage Wallpaper meets Perfect Punches

Okay, just one more post before I crash. This is a card I cased from another demo. I just loved it, because it was so easy and quick and looks pretty elegant. Supplies used: Perfect Punches (clear mount 120516 wood mount 117022), Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (120175), Scallop Oval punch (119856), Early Espresso, Crumb, 1/8" Tafetta ribbon (not sure if I used black or espresso). Enjoy!

Elements of Style

I am back from taking a vacation with family to the Lake of the Ozarks. We had a great time, but I am pooped out! Needed to come home to rest! I am so glad we went. It was a trip of many first for me, including horseback riding. Thanks to my sister-in-law for insisting I go with her, it turned out to be one of my favorite activities from the trip. And my daughter said it was her favorite too! Also, loved the boating! I am posting a couple of cards from the the stamp set Elements of Style (120045 clear mount and 118611 wood mount). This is such a beautiful stamp set. One cannot really appreciate it, until you actually get to stamp with it. Makes gorgeous cards and I plan on using it a lot for scrapbooking. I also used the Finial Press embossing folder for the card on the top (115963). The card on the bottom was a card we made at a recent card night at my home. My downline Julie came up with this one and it was a hit! Notice the white organza ribbon (114319). I had to order it after we used it that night. Can't believe I didn't notice it in the catalog before!
