Greeting Card Kids and Love Letter

Here's another post from Greeting Card Kids. I used Love Letter DSP (117162) and A Word For You stamp set (wood mount 117032 and clear mount 120528). I used one of my favorite new colors, Cherry Cobbler. I also used Very Vanilla ribbon and the new 2 3/8" scallop circle punch (118874). I also used the Circle Scissors Plus (112530) to cut out the larger circle. This card did not take long to make. (Would make a cute birthday card for a teacher or anyone!)

Greeting Card Kids and Curly Cute

I really enjoy watercoloring and the Greeting Card Kids stamp set is a new classic stamp set that is perfect for watercoloring. I used my aqua painters (103954) and water color crayons. Greeting Card Kids is available in wood mount 119887 and clear mount 120633. I also used Curly Cute (available in wood mount 117014 and clear mount 120510). Also used Basic Pearls (119247), Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder (120175), 2 3/8" scallop circle punch (118874), Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz and Early Espresso. Enjoy! P.S. I used my retired water color crayons. SU is coming out shortly with new crayons in the new colors.

Just Believe

When I first set eyes on the new catalog, this set immediately caught my attention. It is called Just Believe and it went immediately to the top of my wish list. It is available in wood mount 116948 or clear mount 120453. I used the new Pear Pizzazz In Color cardstock and Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used Soft Suede ink. I also used Chantilly 1/3" Crochet Trim ribbon (118480) and an Antique Brad (117273). (P.S. The little butterfly is from the Charming stamp set.)

Vintage Wallpaper meets Perfect Punches

Okay, just one more post before I crash. This is a card I cased from another demo. I just loved it, because it was so easy and quick and looks pretty elegant. Supplies used: Perfect Punches (clear mount 120516 wood mount 117022), Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (120175), Scallop Oval punch (119856), Early Espresso, Crumb, 1/8" Tafetta ribbon (not sure if I used black or espresso). Enjoy!

Elements of Style

I am back from taking a vacation with family to the Lake of the Ozarks. We had a great time, but I am pooped out! Needed to come home to rest! I am so glad we went. It was a trip of many first for me, including horseback riding. Thanks to my sister-in-law for insisting I go with her, it turned out to be one of my favorite activities from the trip. And my daughter said it was her favorite too! Also, loved the boating! I am posting a couple of cards from the the stamp set Elements of Style (120045 clear mount and 118611 wood mount). This is such a beautiful stamp set. One cannot really appreciate it, until you actually get to stamp with it. Makes gorgeous cards and I plan on using it a lot for scrapbooking. I also used the Finial Press embossing folder for the card on the top (115963). The card on the bottom was a card we made at a recent card night at my home. My downline Julie came up with this one and it was a hit! Notice the white organza ribbon (114319). I had to order it after we used it that night. Can't believe I didn't notice it in the catalog before!

Flower Fancy

This card is made using the Flower Fancy stamp set (111578). I cased this card from another SU demo. I used the Top Note die (113463) along with the Finial Press embossing folder (115963). Love the combination. The Thank You Kindly stamp set (111700) was used for the sentiment. Flower Fancy is another wonderful 2 steppin' stamp set.

Watercolor Trio

Watercolor Trio is a nice stamp set and is available for only a limited time. It can be found in the Summer Mini catalog. It is wood mount 117050 and clear mount 120084. I also used the Square Lattice textured impressions embossing folder which is exclusive to Stampin' Up. It is 119976. I also sprayed the card with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz (118772) to give it a glimmer shine!
If you are new to this site, be sure to check out my previous blogs in the blog archive! Thanks for looking!

Two Step Bird Punch and Elegant Thank You

Here's a card I made with the Two Step Bird Punch (117191) and the Elegant Thank You Stamp (114484). Stampin' Up now offers a selection of individual stamps which makes it nice when you are looking for one stamp to include in your collection and don't want to purchase a whole set. I also used the scallop trip corner punch (118870) which coordinates with the scallop trim border punch (118402). Colors I used were certainly celery, bashful blue and pacific point.

Thoughts and Prayers

Thoughts and Prayers is a great stamp set for get well soon cards and sympathy cards. It is available in wood mount (113252). I used real red and basic black markers to outline my image. Before stamping it, I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten it. I use this technique a lot. Stampin' Up markers have a fine tip on one end for writing and a brush tip on the other end for using directly on the stamps. In case you are wondering how I made the vase, I used the Ornament punch (119847). I just cut the pointy end off and made a flat bottom for my vase. I also used the large oval punch (119855) and the scalloped oval punch (119856) for my greeting. Enjoy!

Awash with Flowers

Awash with Flowers is such a fun, beautiful new stamp set which looks different every time it is used. It is available in clear mount 120549 wood mount 117062.
It is a 2 steppin' stamp set which means you stamp the outside with one stamp and the inside with another. Thus it makes it easy to outline your flowers and put a color inside the flower. Or, you can just use either the outline or the inside too.

My Dear Kind & Wonderful Friend & I (Heart) Hearts

This wonderful card was made using the I (Heart) Hearts stamp set (clear mount 118571 and wood mount 117010) and the All Holidays stamp set (wood mount only 114916). The scallop trim border punch was used (118402). There is also a scallop trim corner punch available also which coordinates with the scallop trim border punch. The heart (119883) punch was used to punch out a couple of the hearts. I used bashful blue and chocolate chip for my colors. The background was done using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335). I just noticed that I also used the small heart punch for the small chocolate heart in the corner (117193).

Friends Never Fade

Here are two more cards made with Friends Never Fade stamp set (wood mount 118750 and clear mount 120618) and the the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper (117167). I also used the new 1/8" taffeta ribbon Early Espresso (119959) and Daffodil Delight (119254). Check out another card made with this set which I posted earlier in the week....enjoy!

Thoughtful Friend Build a Wheel & Itty Bitty Bits

If you have ever tried SU's wheels, you know how much fun they can be. Stampin' Up's newest creation is the builder wheels which let you customize your wheel any way you'd like. Stack three, just two or even one. This makes a fast card. I used Posy Party (118615), Thoughtful Friend (118616) and Bees & Blossoms (118617). You do need a jumbo handle (103661) and the Wheel Spindle and Spacers (119895). You can use any jumbo ink cartridge or make your own with the triple cell uninked cartridge (121206). This is what I used with Melon Mambo, Tangarine Tango and So Saffron ink refills. Just squirt a little bit of ink on the ininked pads in the triple cell cartridge and you have created your own individual cartridge. There is so much a person can do with the ink refills (including using the aqua painters to paint with). They are really handy to have around to refill your ink pads and markers too. I also used Itty Bitty Bits stamp set (117056 wood and 120060 clear), with the new Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309). We also carry itty bitty buttons (clear) (118761) which coordinate with the itty bitty punches.

Apple Blossoms

I was so tired from going to the pool this afternoon with my daughter, I could hardly bring myself to do anything tonight. But I wanted to play with my new stuff and I have been dying to get my hands on the hostess level 2 stamp set Apple Blossoms (118531 wood mount and 120139 clear mount). This was a very fast, simple, easy card to make. Instead of scratching my head, like I usually do, to come up with a color scheme, I reached for my new Color Coach (120148) and found Peach Parfait, Pear Pizazz and Not Quite Navy. I think the colors work well together and I would have never come up with this combo on my own. I love it! Happy thoughts make happy days! I highly recommend the new color coach! Can't do without it now that I have it! Enjoy!

Circle Circus and With All My Heart Scrapbook Pages

A passion of mine is scrapbooking. I was introduced to it many years ago by a friend and I snubbed it off....said I didn't have time, etc. But now I am addicted to both scrapbooking and cardmaking. I can't scrapbook all the photos I have ever taken, I just choose my favorites and go from there! I used Circle Circus stamp set (115778) and With All My Heart (clear 118623 and wood 118134) on these pages. I used my Big Shot (113439) to cut out my letters. I used chipboard on the Cousins page. I also used the Extra Large Flower Fancy punch and my circle punches.

Growing Green

I cased this wonderful card from another SU demonstrator who had a wonderful tutorial on water-coloring using the aqua painters (104954) and markers. I used Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze and Crum. It was fun to do. You just outline your image with the marker and color in with the aqua painters, pulling the color into the middle using a circular motion. So easy and fun! In case your wondering, the stamp set I used is Growing Green (118758 clear and 120624 wood). I used Woodland Walk DSP (117389), Greenhouse Gala DSP (117167) and the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (119275). For the sentiment, I used Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) with the word window punch (119857) and the modern label punch (119849).

Artistic Etchings

Artistic Etchings (120573 clear and 118517 wood) was one of the stamp sets offered to SU demonstrators on the pre-order of the new catalog. I grabbed at it because of the Eiffel Tower. My son has prom pictures with an Eiffel Tower used as a decoration. I thought this would help me scrapbook those pages. But, now that I have this stamp set, I love all the elements in it. (It includes 6 stamps.) There is so much a person can do with this one. It is one of my favorite stamp sets. I also used Greenhouse Gala DSP (117167) and Marina Mist and Crumb ink and cardstock.

Another card with the new owl punch!

Okay...somebody please tell me to put this owl punch down and go to bed! I am having way too much fun with it! This time I used the new Pear Pizzazz ribbon (119265). I am really liking the woodgrain background stamp (117100) with this new punch. (I wasn't too sure about the woodgrain stamp at first, but it has really grown on me.) Thanks for looking!

New Owl Punch!

Okay, who can resist this cute new owl made with the new two-step extra large owl punch (#118074)? Put 2 owls together and make it into an anniversary or Valentine's Day card. For the card on the right, I also used the new Fabulous Phrases stamp set (clear mount 120501 and wood mount 117002). It contains 30 phrases to be used for almost any occasion (I plan to use mine for scrapbooking!) I also used the woodgrain background stamp (#117100). The branch was made with the two-step bird extra large punch (117191). I also used the Greenhouse Gala paper (117167), Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso and Crumb card stock and distressed the card using the new distressing kit (118762). Fun to make!
(Also used the word window punch 119857 and the modern label punch 119849)
The card on the left was made using the 2 3/8" extra large scallop circle punch, new too (118874)

Cute by the Inch

This is one of my favorite hostess stamp sets in the new catalog. It includes eight cute inch stamps which are just adorable. It is a Level 2 stamp set and is very easy to earn for free with a workshop. I used the new colors on this card: Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler and Wasabi Green.

Because I Care

I do have to say that SU did a really good job of providing us with nice hostess sets in this new catalog. I have made several elegant cards with the new Level One Set Because I Care. After stamping it on the Top Note Big Shot die, I just colored this beautiful flower in with my markers. I stamped the background with Versamark clear ink. This is a card that hopefully conveys the message about how much you care about someone who may be going through a rough time. This hostess stamp set includes five stamps total, including one that also says Thank You.

Aviary and Elegant Lines

Aviary (120462 in clear mount and 116956 in wood mount) is my six year old daughter's favorite stamp set out of the new catalog. So, of course, I had to order it! Now I love it too. I also used the new embossing folder Elegant Lines (119277). The embossing folders are an easy way to make a card stand out. Colors I used were: Early Espresso, Melon Mambo and Pacific Point.

Friends Never Fade

The Friends Never Fade stamp set (clear mount is #120618, wood mount is #118750) is one of my favorites from the new catalog. There is so much you can do with it. I love the images. I used my markers to outline the image before I stamped it: Marina Mist (awesome new blue color), Daffodil Delight (another new color), and Pear Pizazz (new in color for 2010). I also used the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, along with crumb (formerly known as kraft paper). The ribbon is Daffodil Delight. This is a simple card that doesn't take very long to make.

Perfect Punches and the new in colors

Hi everyone! This is my first post on my new blog and I am excited. This is all new, so bear with me. To show off Stampin' Up's five new in colors, I used the new Perfect Punches stamp set to create five cards. Perfect Punches includes 6 stamps which work perfectly with 6 of Stampin' Up's punches. Perfect Punches is available in wood mount (117022) or clear mount (120516). I also used Stampin' Up's exclusive textured impressions embossing folders. I used Vintage Wallpaper (120175), Square Lattice (119976), Elegant Bouquet (115964), Finial Press (115963), and Petals-a-Plenty (116824). Oh, and I almost forgot, the new in colors are Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. They are available in ink pads, markers, cardstock, ribbon and Designer Series Paper and will be available for 2 years.
