Another Great Year!
Finally! I am taking some time to post cards I have made recently. Did I mention how much I love the new Occasions catalog from Stampin' Up! It's called "Celebrate the Everyday" and it is just that! A catalog full of products to use to make simple, everyday cards a person uses all the time. Like this one...I used the new stamp set "Another Great Year". It includes several nice stamps, but this one really caught my eye. It is so easy to stamp this image and make a really quick birthday card. I used the new Petite Petals stamp set with the coordinating new Petite Petals punch for easy, gorgeous flowers to accent my birthday image. I also used the new DSP Retro Fresh. All products are from the new Occasions catalog. Click on the image on my blog to see the whole catalog. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Photopolymer Style!
OK, I can't pronounce it...Photopolymer...but I really enjoyed using the new stamp set made out of this material. SU is introducing a new line of photopolymer stamps for a clear stamping option. This set Designer Type Photopolymer includes 57 pieces! And it sells for only $13.95. The possibilities are endless with this fun set. I love it for making birthday cards. It's so easy to personalize a birthday card by stamping a person's name on it (which I did on my son's birthday card). This card is pretty generic and would work for anyone. I used the Brights DSP, the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Decorative Label Punch for the my border, white baker's twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Merry Minis Punch Pack (the star). Enjoy!!!
A Round Array Happy Birthday!
Stampin' up recently gave us our first sneak peak at the new 2013-2014 annual catalog with A Round Array! It's a fun stamp set with 8 cute stamps that suit all different occasions. Grab it while you can on sale! I used the new Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp set to stamp my arrow and then I just simply cut it out. Other products used include: The Brights DSP pack, Essentials stamp set (available in the Spring Catalog), and the fabulous Itty Bitty Punch Pack (I use it all the time). Oh, I also used the 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon in Daffodil Delight. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Owl
Here is a recent card I cased from Mary Fish. We used it in our monthly stamp class and it was a huge hit. I love the owl punch. It is one of my favorite punches. We used the new coredelations card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the wood grain embossing foler. We then it sanded it with the new SU sanding blocks. Punched a hole in the center of our "tree", added some Orchard Harvest DSP and a new birthday sentiment and there you have it. A beautiful, fun birthday card that anyone would be happy to get in the mail. Love it! Enjoy!

Up, Up and Away Happy Birthday!
I purchased this stamp set awhile ago and finally got it out to make a birthday card. The balloons are so fun and make a very uplifting, happy card. I used up some retired SU paper for my card. I also used the itty bitty punch pack to punch out little flowers to use at the base of the balloons. So simple and easy, yet cute! Enjoy!

Distressed Elementary Elegance Birthday Card
One of my favorite new products in the big catty is the distressing kit. It is so easy to create a distressed appearance with the fun kit. It includes 1 flat stamp, 4 distressing ink spots (love the colors), 1 sanding block, 1 emery boarda and 3 precision files. Simply dab ink pad on stamp and rub it over your paper, then blend ink with water for an aged look. Love this look! Use the sanding block and emery board to distress or smooth edges of paper after adding it to cardstock. Use precision files to sand intricate die cuts and sand in tight areas. It sells for $19.95 and can be found in the big catalog on page 203 (#118762). I used Elementary Elegance stamp set (which can be earned for free with a $50 purchase) from Sale-A-Bration. Tiny Tags was used for the sentiment friends and was punched out with the jewelry tag punch. Other supplies used include: the baker's twine, butterfly punch, pearls, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, and Everyday Enchantment DSP. Enjoy!
